The Embassy of the Republic of Korea is pleased to invite Malaysian Hansik(Korean Food) lovers to participate in the 2020 Hansik Contest, which will be held in UCSI University on 26 Sept 2020

The 2020 Hansik(Korean Food) Contest is a Korean cooking competition organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Malaysia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Korea, Ministry of Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs of Republic of Korea & the Korean Food Promotion Institute

This event is aimed at raising awareness of Korean food, traditions, history & culture among the Malaysians and also to encourage contestants to think out of the box by trying to blend the Korean food into Malaysians’ tastes

A total of 18 teams will be selected by the Korean Embassy based on the document evaluation & the selected teams will present the ‘pork-free Korean food that can be enjoyed by all Malaysians’ on the contest day. Each team will be given 40 minutes to cook the food and after that, a presentation will be made for 2–3 mins in terms of originality, globalization, passion for Korean food and culture

The contestants will be evaluated based on Correct Preparation & Taste(Taste, Composition, Hygiene, Plating, Degree of Difficulty) & Presentation(Originality, Globalization, Passion for Korean Food & Culture)
