60 years & beyond:
Preparing Malaysia-Republic of Korea relations for a new era

The year 2020 has been particularly tumultuous for the world. The struggle to mitigate the infection rate of COVID-19 caused many nations to reorient their priorities under the ‘new normal’

Yet, the year was not devoid of geopolical competition & strategic developments, particularly in prospects for peace on the Korean Peninsula, the impact of US-China competition on the region & building resilience during the pandemic

As Malaysia & South Korea aim to develop relations in the midst of competitive frameworks of regional infrastructure & connectivity, much can be reflected on future trajectories of Malaysia-South Korea relations
